Silver End from Varlam Liparteliani

 

The last day of European Championships in Tbilisi, April 26, brought one more medal for Georgian National Team. After bronze medals of Nestor Khergiani (-60kg) and Levan Tsiklauri (-81kg), 20 years old Varlam Liparteliani added the silver medal to Georgian collection. The Bronze Debut of Tsiklauri

 

Four weight category athletes were fighting for title and medals on the second day of Judo European Championships in Tbilisi, on April 25. Like on the first day of tournament, Georgians were not able to climb to the highest point on the pedestal and just like the day before managed to win one bronze. Nestor Khergiani won first medal for Georgian team

 

Nestor Khergiani,

(-60kg), won the bronze medal for Georgia, on the first day of European championships in Tbilisi. Khergiani is most experienced member of the Georgian national team, which currently participates in tournament. Judo European Championships causes huge interest in Georgia

 

April 24, 25 and 26, 2009 will be busy days for Tbilisi Sports Palace. Several European or Georgian titleholder judokas will face each other in Georgian capital.
